Gradient RT

Real-time monitoring, advisory, and automated pressure control for active drilling operations.
Built on a hybrid edge architecture. In development with launch partner.

What It Does

Real-Time Monitoring

Continuous ingestion of live rig data: annular pressures, ECDs, flow rates, and mud properties. The system compares actual conditions against the active plan and flags deviations as they occur.

Prescriptive Advisory

The system doesn't just show what's happening. It tells engineers what to do next: reduce flow rate, increase backpressure, modify trip speed. Engineers review and approve recommendations, which update the active plan in real-time.

Automated Pressure Control

Automated choke management with integrated kick and loss detection. Self-healing control logic maintains annular pressure targets through connectivity interruptions and data packet loss. Minimal operator intervention.

Live Plan vs Actual

Continuous planned-vs-actual comparison during operations. Deviation statistics update in real-time. Post-well analysis begins the moment drilling starts, not after the well is complete.

Architecture

Hybrid edge design built for the realities of rig-site connectivity.

Hybrid Edge

Gradient RT runs at the rig site and syncs to the cloud. Operations continue uninterrupted during connectivity loss. Data syncs when connection is restored.

Self-Healing Connectivity

The system adapts and auto-upgrades or downgrades real-time operations based on available connectivity. Full functionality at the edge, enhanced analytics in the cloud.

Data Acquisition

WITS/WITSML ingestion from rig data systems. Modbus integration for direct sensor access. Flexible data pipeline designed for varied rig instrumentation.

Cloud Sync

Operational data flows to the cloud for post-well analysis, model calibration, and fleet-level benchmarking. The learning loop closes automatically.

Status

Gradient RT is in active development with a launch partner. The system architecture, data acquisition layer, and core advisory engine are being built and validated against real operational requirements. Contact us to discuss early access or partnership opportunities.
